We understand that there are many variables to deliveries and our registration page. To ease confusion we have outlined information for the registration process below.

Business Type: If you are registered with the state and have a DBA (doing business as) you are a sole proprietor. If you have filed an articles of incorporate (in some states it is Articles of Organization) you would be either an LLC, LLP, C-Corp or S-Corp. Please check your documents if you are unsure.

License: While a license doesn't apply to some professions, most states do require delivery and moving companies to be licensed. At the absolute least the DOT requires that if you use a truck for commercial use you have a DOT and MC number. If you're "flying under the radar" and do not have these requirements we recommend getting them.

Insurance: General Liability Insurance (GL) is a standard liability policy that most companies have. The standard is usually a $1,000,000 policy that protects the business from claims.

My Fleet: This is a standard line up of trucks and trailers. The concept is for us to understand your capabilities with one glance, to see if you can accommodate a full 10 item delivery. Obviously if you have a cargo van we know you are limited to a few items. If you're truck or vehicle is not listed please choose the best option.

Delivery Rates: This is a escalating pricing structure. Each delivery rate entered is the total for that many items (eg. 4 Items - $55 means that you will deliver 4 items for $55 before adding in any travel or condition fees). Remember at CLD will take 15% of the total delivery charge.

Condition Fees: How much would you like to charge per condition?

  • Stair charge is per flight which is 10 or less steps
  • Elevator charge is per item. It is recommended to keep this fee low
  • A long carry charge is collective and will be added for 75' or more and then each subsequent 75'
  • A bulky item fee is IN ADDITION to the item fee. For example, the customer has a refrigerator that needs to be delivered and your delivery charge for 1 Item is $40. The bulky item fee would be added to this rate to compensate for the additional work. It is applied to each bulky item.

Travel Fees: This is an additional fee for your total travel. Our system bases this on the ZIP codes provided, not the actual address. All mileage is calculated as round trip.
